The DevOps engineer works within a small team of platform engineers dedicated to building and maintaining multiple growing platforms and other cloud-based services that support the full application lifecycle. The role provides significant opportunity to research and incorporate new technologies with an emphasis on cloud-based infrastructure, driving platform evolution and enabling self-service for users.
The role involves working closely with a variety of software development teams, assisting them to onboard new projects, implement CI/CD pipelines, and incorporate open-telemetry tooling, empowering them to accelerate software delivery and adopt the principles of a DevOps culture.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, focusing on continuous improvement.
- Support Azure pipeline development and cloud migration efforts.
- Configure and manage Windows application servers and IIS web applications.
- Provide ongoing support for CI/CD toolsets and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration for reliable environment management.
- Plan, automate, test, and deploy databases using pipelines.
- Identify and implement process improvements for DevOps workflows.
- Cultivate relationships internally and externally, offering mentorship as needed.
- Manage time and workload effectively to meet project deadlines.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong IT infrastructure background with expertise in DevOps methodologies and cloud architecture.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Effective project management skills, delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to manage client relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
- Proactive approach to learning and research, working autonomously when needed.
- Excellent administrative and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
