Cloud / DevOps Engineer

An Australian based Cloud services provider are seeking multiple Cloud / DevOps Engineers to service their federal government portfolio. The organisation prides themselves on their ability to provide bespoke cloud solutions for their clients.

As the Cloud / DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing cloud platforms and environments. You will work with both clients and internal teams to build and manage cloud technologies including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS. Your experience will allow you to provide cloud engineering capabilities resulting in fast and effective cloud services delivery.

Key accountabilities:

• Cloud platform design and engineering (AWS and/or Azure)
• Cloud platform management
• Cloud engineering SME
• Review and implement cloud architectures
• Manage client and internal cloud environments
• Cloud platform automation and integration
• Cloud infrastructure migration
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Develop and maintain documentation
• Ensure high quality deliverables are produced
• Provide technical leadership both internally and externally

Essential requirements:

• AWS and/or Azure cloud certifications
• NV1 clearance
• Proven experience with cloud technologies across multiple industry verticals
• Experience with cloud platform engineering
• Experience with cloud automation
• Experience with digital transformations across commercial and Government organisations
• Experience and understanding of cloud and security technologies and design patterns
• Knowledge and experience working with cloud and security technologies - native and thirdparty solutions
• Ability to evaluate technical solutions
• Experience with and/or exposure to DevOps practices and toolsets
• Experience developing and generating technical and management reporting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Highly motivated individual who is keen to learn
• Passion for security and bleeding edge technologies

Experience:

• 2+ years experience with AWS and/or Azure
• 2+ years experience as a hands on technical resource in an enterprise environment
• Technical certifications (AWS and/or Azure)
