VMware Engineer

VMware Engineer (NV2/TSPV cleared)

The Department of Defence are looking for multiple VMware Engineers to support the development of science and technology to increase Australia's capability for National Security.

You will work with a team of VMware SMEs to design, implement and manage virtual environments in an enterprise environment.

Essential skills:

• Suitable knowledge and experience of Private Cloud technology (VMWare product suite) including automation and workflows.
• Solid technical background in hosted services environments including hardware, software, virtualization, storage, and container orchestration.
• Practical knowledge of Operating Systems - Windows Server 20xx, RHEL 8/9, Ubuntu 20/22 including tools for their administration.
• Working experience with TCP/IP networking (DNS, DHCP, etc).
• Strong knowledge of security as it relates to cloud based services.
• Certified virtualization accreditation and experience using VMWare.
• Technical ability to resolve complex incidents and problems with experience in networking and security products.
