Requirements

A Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (SFIA4) is required to develop and integrate software and Cloud[1]native platforms employing an Agile Software Development Methodology (SDM).

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (SFIA4) will be responsible for developing software, integrating Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and Government Off the Shelf (GOTS) software, documenting technical processes and assisting with testing and deployment.

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineers will work with Security Architects and Technical Leads to test and deliver scalable, secure cloud (PaaS) infrastructure and pipelines across a number of platforms in support of ASD program to deliver innovative capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, build, integrate, deliver and document software capability that meets business requirements.
  • Support, maintain and enhance existing software capability ensuring application availability.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures.
  • Document technical processes in accordance with organisational policies and procedures and promote bi-directional knowledge transfer within a team environment.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential

  • Demonstrated competence in software development (Other programming experience will also be considered)
  • Demonstrated competence with Go and/or similar experience with other languages.
  • Demonstrated competence using public Cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure) platforms and services.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and contribute ideas.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder requirement collection and development.

Desirable

  • Experience working within an agile team.
