Requirements

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (SFIA5) is required to perform an extensive range of complex technical work activities, including being prepared to undertake work that requires the application of fundamental and advanced knowledge in a wide and often unpredictable range of situations. The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (SFIA5) will be required to understand the relationship between own specialism and ASD's wider customer/organisational requirements.

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineers will work with Security Architects and Technical Leads to test and deliver scalable, secure cloud (PaaS) infrastructure and pipelines across a number of platforms in support of ASD program to deliver innovative capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of Cloud-based systems and services
  • Lead the assessment, analysis, planning and design of release packages, including assessment of risk. Conduct post release reviews.
  • Contribute to the specification and design of Cloud-based software to meet defined requirements by following agreed design standards and principles.
  • Lead the planning, design, management and deployment of Cloud-based platforms and services, using appropriate testing tools and techniques, whilst conforming to agreed process standards and industry specific regulations.
  • Drive the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures, produce documentation in accordance with ASD policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to design reviews, stakeholder meetings and agile processes.

  • High-level software development skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements definition.
  • Demonstrated experience in priorities management in a complex work environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience providing specialist advice.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder requirement collection and development.
  • proven ability to work as a member of an integrated Agile team comprising technical and nontechnical personnel.
