Senior Network Engineer

Cleared are working with a leading Cyber-based Technology company and is seeking a skilled NV2 Senior Network Engineer who will support the integration and delivery of security designs into the client's secure communications services platforms.

The successful candidate will apply their security and/or network engineering knowledge and utilize a variety of hardware, network, and product security techniques to ensure the efficacy of the solutions provided.

Position Overview:
Our client, renowned for its team of security experts and skilled engineers, is on the lookout for a highly talented network engineer. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing new network-based security solutions, contributing to security requirements and architecture, and identifying and resolving communications and security issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The chosen candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation of remote and mobile secure communications, assisting in the design and construction of secure gateways, and collaborating with experts to define secure solutions for platform interfaces. Other duties include identifying impacts of new requirements or issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems, and staying abreast of new technologies and educational opportunities.

Technical Skills

• Network engineering experience in gateway environments.
• An understanding of risk management, and Australian Government information security requirements
• Strong Cisco experience and proficiency implementing network architectures.
• Professional certifications (CCNP, JNCIE-ENT, Network+, WCNA)
• Proficiency with infrastructure devices, including switches, routers, wireless access points, controllers, and firewalls.
• Expertise in designing, monitoring, and fault-finding local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN)
• Understand and configuration of wireless communications and real-time media streams
• Understanding of Cryptographic deployments and the accountability of key material
• Capturing configuration and rationale in documentation

Experience, Skills, and Attributes:
We are seeking candidates with a bachelor's degree in technology, expertise in network engineering, and experience in gateway environments. Strong Cisco experience, proficiency in implementing network architectures, and professional certifications are highly desirable.
The ideal candidate should possess analytical skills, the ability to learn new technologies quickly, and a thorough understanding of cryptographic deployments.

Security Clearance Requirements:

• The successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen currently holding a government security clearance at the minimum of NV2 level.
• You must be an Australian Citizen.
