Senior Server Engineer

Cleared is currently collaborating with a prominent Multinational Information Technology Company in search of an NV2 Senior Server Engineer based in Canberra for a 12-month contract opportunity starting ASAP!

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Senior Server Engineer will spearhead a significant migration project, transitioning from one server to our client's infrastructure. This pivotal role entails managing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure, serving as a crucial member of the Engineering Team and providing advanced level 3 technical support. The emphasis is on resolving intricate ICT service issues and ensuring remote monitoring and reporting for managed services clients.

Key Duties Include:

• Undertaking technical deliverables as a recognized senior specialist
• Implementing and supporting Microsoft Server solutions and designs
• Supporting virtualized server environments across a global network
• Providing end-to-end technical solutions and assisting with system changes, updates, upgrades, and relocations
• Compiling comprehensive technical documentation and participating in skills transfer and mentoring of junior staff.
• Demonstrating strong coordination, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Analysing and resolving complex enterprise system hardware and software problems, coordinating solutions with peer teams and vendors
• Showcasing expertise with Microsoft Server versions up to and including Server 2022 in an enterprise environment, as well as virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Nutanix

Additional Criteria:

• HP server knowledge and experience (specifically DL360 Gen 11)
• Proficiency with HP OneView, VMware, and preferably Nutanix
• Experience with Dell server systems.

Other Info:

• The role requires onsite presence 5 days per week at the client's Canberra Office.
• Applicants must hold AGSVA NV2 Security Clearance. Only Australian Citizens with NV2 clearance are eligible to apply; Permanent residents (PRs) are not considered.
