Cleared ICT are currently supporting agencies within the national intelligence space, who are looking to engage NV1 or above Software Engineers for long term contract engagements in Canberra, Brisbane or Melbourne.
We are working with ASD (Australian Signals Directorate) who has a requirement for Software Engineers with experience with tactical development.
You must be willing to undergo the OSA process and willingness to upgrade your clearance to TSPV.
This role is Canberra, Brisbane or Melbourne based.

Job Skills and Qualifications Essential:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure cloud technology knowledge and experience.
  • Programming knowledge and experience in Python, Java, and REST APIs, particularly with these API's available in cloud-based systems.
  • Proven ability to work across Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge and experience in data governance practices.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, and a proven ability to collaborate as a team member.
  • Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Computer Science or related field.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Cyber Security Operations.
  • Positive Vetting (PV) clearance.
  • For candidates that hold an NV1 or higher clearance, a willingness to participate in a clearance upgrade.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work as a team member in the ACSC to manage bespoke ACSC systems under the direction of a team leader.
  • Support tactical development activities to prototype, enhance and validate new solutions or concepts.
  • Identify, design, and code solutions using a variety of programming languages.
  • Apply best practices to design and implement code which utilises API accesses to integrate with other solutions.
  • Provide continuous uptake of deployment automation opportunities as they present.
  • Identify, inform, and seek to mitigate release engineering risks during work planning.
  • Create and maintain system documentation and support procedures.
  • Design security documentation in adherence to organisational security policy.
  • Support the enhancement of existing security architecture.
  • Test solutions and deliver improvements as required.
  • Collect requirements from system users and provide support as required to resolve issues or improve outcomes.
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify and solve issues prior to an impact on operational productivity.
