Cleared ICT are looking for 8 x Baseline Technical Services Engineers, for our client a global Defence company who have been equipping defence with the most advanced systems. This is a short term 3-month assignment based at Laverton Defence in Melbourne.

The Technical Service Engineer will be working on the deployment & build of the client's handheld devices & rollout within the Defence Location.
This is a 3-month contract with possibility to extend.

  1. You must have a Baseline Security Clearance to work on the defence base.

    3+ months experience in similar role, ideally within the Defence/CIOG space highly desired but full training will be provided!


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in documenting, Pre-staging and configuration to build and deploy handheld devices.
  • Escalate to deployment team lead for technical and process issues.
  • Install software and document installation and replacement of handheld devices.
  • Asset refresh, relocation deployment and decommission maintaining data integrity within the CMDB.
  • Maintenance and housekeeping of client's physical equipment, peripherals, telephony, print devices, audio/visual conferencing equipment.
  • Be aware of WHS practices, instructions and policy as set out by the project manager and the Client.

Carry out other work as assigned by TL or management.

  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of hardware and peripherals i.e. handheld devices and radio equipment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications, Microsoft Office, Antivirus software and systems.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of basic IT infrastructure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication including the ability to articulate technical information to the targeted audience.
  • Customer centric and customer focused.
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team while fostering relationships and partnerships and a can-do attitude.
  • Experience with end user technology support (highly advantageous)


3+ months experience in similar role, ideally within the Defence/CIOG space but not essential.
