Windows packaging and update specialist (MECM) at the Office of Parliamentary Counsel.

We are looking for a 1 x Windows packaging and update specialist (MECM) for the Office of Parliamentary Counsel.
The minimum clearance required is a baseline with NV1 preferred.
Starting 13th July 2022 this role is Canberra based but with the ability to be done offsite with an initial term of 6-months with the possibility to extend

Job Description below:

The role will consist of :- *Creating, updating, testing and deploying software packages in MECM *Testing and installing updates to Windows desktop and server computers using MECM and WSUS. *Developing and modifying images for use with new systems. *Creation, modification, and streamlining of Group Policies to contribute to a secure and consistent operating environment. *Developing and working to schedules and plans to ensure our software packages, drivers, and systems are up to date. *Working to document and improve processes related to keeping Windows systems, software, and group policies up to date and consistent. This role will not only require skills in MECM, Group Policy and WSUS; but an ability to drive improvements in our use of these or other systems to improve our overall ability to keep systems up to date. It is expected that given the small size of our agency, and the limited number of systems and applications in use that the day to day requirements of maintaining packages and scheduling updates won't require full time attention. The remainder of the time will be spent analyzing our processes, and drawing on previous experience to recommend and execute improvements to our systems, processes and documentation. As this work will be somewhat self directed, applicants will need to have basic project management and stakeholder engagement skills, the ability to follow established systems development and change management processes, and the ability to progress tasks appropriately with minimal supervision. Term : 6 months, with a possible 6 month extension Security Clearance : Minimum baseline with NV1 preferred
